"Your mind is a powerful thing. When you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change."

I have had the amazing opportunity to work with Barbara both in dog agility seminars as well as personal mental management sessions. She is positive, empathetic, professional, caring, a great listener, and has a real desire to help people. But what really impresses me is her ability to get to know each client as an individual in each and every setting. She learns their strengths, weaknesses, goals, struggles and where they are on their current journey. She helps people learn what options are going to work for them in their current situation and in meeting future goals, even changing those options as a person's situation changes. She takes the time to make sure that each person is comfortable with their plans, options, skills, etc. and takes the time for more explanation or other options if needed. I am excited to working with her more in the future!

Barbara has been my Mental Management Coach for about two years now.
She has helped guide my mindset to a more positive place around my agility competitions. I am able to look at the bigger picture and celebrate all my victories realizing none are small.
Probably the best part she has done for me, is shining a light on all the reasons I should feel good about myself. Through working with Barbara and using the mental management system, I have gained more tools to build a better self image that supports my mental game in many aspects of my life, not just dog sports.

I started getting coaching from Barbara after I met her at Quest Agility Camp in Laramie Wyoming last summer, 2024. I realized that there is a difference between agility instructors and an agility coach. I knew I had the best instructors possible. But what was missing was a coach for my mental management. Barbara recommended books to read, performance journaling, and I scheduled monthly calls with her. Bailey and my performance has gone from high anxiety to peace and confidence since getting coaching from Barbara. I now set daily intentions for our training and competitions that have nothing to do with our results. I have a routine that includes visualization. I focus on all the positive that we accomplish. Bailey and I are more connected, having more fun, and being courageous to the point of trying new approaches to our courses. After receiving two sets of 2 double Qs during our last couple of weekends trials, I wrote a note to Barbara. “Those are the most Qs I’ve ever gotten and I wasn’t even trying to get Qs! Imagine that!!” The coaching she provides also helps me get the most out of the wonderful instructors that I have. Amazing breakthroughs! Very grateful for Barbara‘s coaching!

After attending a Mental Management webinar, I found it difficult to put some pieces of it into practical use in the sport of nose work due to every search being dog driven. Barbara, with her vast experience in dog sports, was able to help me design a very individual system. Our first trial after working with Barbara was the best I've had since beginning this sport nine years ago. We worked as a team and my dog never had to wonder what was wrong with that person at the end of the leash. The nerves and brain fog were gone and replaced with a focus I’ve never been able to achieve before. If you struggle with anxiety and being present in pressure situations with your dog, I highly recommend reaching out to Barbara for help. Your dog will thank you.
